We recently held an end of life celebration for our Mum at Acacia Function Centre in association with Shaun Hamilton Funerals. Shaun and his team were wonderful in assisting my sisters and I, in planning the best possible send off for our Mum.
The service in its entirety was held at the Acacia Function Centre located within the grounds of the Savannah Park Motor Inn, cnr Burgmanns Lane & Goonoo Goonoo Road, Tamworth NSW.
Amy Crocker was very obliging, and provided an excellent selection of food and beverages in a well appointed air conditioned comfortable versatile space. The service was impeccable and we would highly recommend this venue for any gatherings.
We found on site accommodation very handy for people who needed to travel for the occasion.

Our sincere & heartfelt thanks for your love, compassion & professionalism whilst looking after us at the time of Wally's passing. It certainly helped us during this time. You made everything possible at a terrible time (Covid) and for this we will be eternally grateful.

Dear Shaun & Staff
Thank you for everything you and your team did to help us prepare and get through Barry's funeral service. It was a comfort knowing you were on top of everything at such a difficult time for us. We were so pleased with how everything came together and felt it was a fitting tribute to Barry.
Your kindness and compassion was greatly appreciated by me and the Golland family.

As a family we would like to thank you sincerely for the most beautiful Funeral Service and taking part in the Requiem Mass for our father, Colin John Pyrke.
We were very grateful for all your assistance prior to and on the day of Dad's funeral.
It gave us peace of mind with your caring nature of dealing with the funeral. You all conducted yourselves with such professionalism and dignity.
Thank you Shaun for your beautiful rendition of Panis Angelicus. Thanks also to Bill Gleeson for playing the organ beautifully and to Rentfast for the livestreaming. Also the beautiful booklet by the Graphics Staff.
Yours Sincerely

Hi Suzanne
Dad's funeral was a beautiful service. I honestly cannot thank you all highly enough.
Suzanne - From the moment I spoke to you on the phone, I knew we would be well looked after. You were kind, caring and explained the process very well. I am amazed that the funeral was organised with one visit and a couple of emails. You made our life so much easier; never underestimate the difference you make in peoples lives.
Yvette - That booklet! There were so many comments at the funeral that there could not have been a better booklet for Dad! It was absolutely perfect and so much better than I ever could have imagined. People asked for extra booklets after the service to give to other people - they were so impressed by your work and how you could honour someone's life so amazingly!
Shaun - What a beautiful company you run! You had such a calming presence on the day, your professionalism and kindness was very much appreciated! The day was seamless and perfect - thank you.
Shaun Hamilton Funerals came very highly recommended by everyone I spoke to - I now know why. You took the sting out of a very tough time.
Thank you for helping us honour Dad in such a beautiful way.
Kind regards,
Jenny
Dear Shaun, Suzanne, Yvette, Peter, Dudley and Darryl,
On behalf of my mother, Heather Farrell, my sister, Jennifer Eggins, and the extended family, I would like to express our heart-felt thanks to each of you for all of your support and expertise as you guided us through the funeral process for our late sister and aunt, Betty Jean Ballantine.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion and helpfulness during this very sad time. Thank you especially to Suzanne and Yvette for being so patient and understanding with the many phone calls, emails and enquiries - most of which came from the other side of the family.
On the day of the funeral, Shaun, Peter, Dudley and Darryl were so professional, kind, respectful and dignified. Everything ran so smoothly and, whilst the occasion was sad, it was a lovely tribute and send off for Jean.
Thank you so much to which ever kind gentleman, after the burial, took some flowers to our car for us, unlocked the car and when we arrived, helped me with my seatbelt. I was emotionally exhausted by then and those little things meant so much. My husband, Andrew, was very impressed also with his kindness and thoughtfulness.
Many thanks again to you all
Kind Regards,
Linda Brice
Shaun, Jenny, Jeremy, Dudley, Donna, Yvette
Thank you all so much for looking after Mum.
Shaun having a local business rather than a faceless corporate was extremely comforting for our family. You provide a service that is very much appreciated.
Jenny, thank you for your organisation skills. Jeremy and Dudley for your care in transporting Barb. Donna, for the beautiful job on Mum's makeup and dressing her. Yvette, for being an excellent designer and calmly making the many changes.

Dear Shaun Hamilton Funerals,
This note has been a long, long time coming, however I could not let what I have to say below, go unsaid.
We chose you people to carry out the funeral for my late husband Reginald Hoare as I was impressed from the very first contact I had by phone and then the quick response by mail with what was required from me for a Funeral Service to be taken by yourselves.
When Peter and Shaun came to take my Reg to the Funeral Home, I was once again impressed with their appearance the moment I opened the door. Their dress was immaculate and they both looked very professional, but also, were very caring and kind. They handled my Reg with such gentleness and reverence just as though Reg was their own family member.
This being a very difficult time for me, I just sat and watched with a very sad and grieving heart as both these men went about preparing to take my husband to where he would be, with you for the next two weeks. I felt so much gratitude and thankfulness for the very caring way they went about doing what had to be done.
We had to wait for two weeks before we could have the Funeral so as to be able to have Peter Howe from Armidale take the Funeral Service, which is what my son and I really wanted. Both yourselves and Peter Howe were just so kind, thoughtful and accommodating in allowing it to be this way. Will be forever grateful.
I had asked if we could have the service recorded, but the receptionist said unfortunately they did not have what was required to be able to record the service. May I add here I’m not really sure of this dear ladies name, however I will never forget her kindness, thoughtfulness and care.
We had a viewing of Reg the day before the Funeral, when this dear lady came and said that what had been required to be able to record the service, they had acquired and that the Funeral service would now be able to be recorded for us. I might add this lady seemed so happy to be able to give my son and I this news. I broke down in tears because of what had been done for us, and now we would have the audio we so much desired, and to top that off she gave me the biggest, warmest, sincerest hug. I am just so very sorry I cannot recall her name, but this dear lady I’m sure will recall the happenings I have described on that day, and I feel sure she will accept my sincere apology.
The Funeral was a beautiful Funeral (if you can call a Funeral beautiful). Had a number of people come and say the same thing to me, and they had taken note of those who had brought it all to pass, Shaun Hamilton Funerals, and Peter Howe, the Celebrant.
I send this with a very sincere and grateful heart. It will be etched in my memory always.
Thank you to all who had a part in Reg’s Funeral Service that 16th Day of October 2019, as well as all whom had a part in the “behind the scene” work, that would need to be carried out to bring it all together.
Thank You All sincerely
Val Hoare
My Dear Shaun
Today was the first time I was able to open your Funeral Book. As I started to read each page, I was overcome with love, compassion and a sense of comfort.
I wish to congratulate you and your staff for assembling such a wonderful collection of verses, page layouts and the personal touches mentioned in the book.
Terry's funeral was so touching. Everything was so perfect, even the music played made me feel Terry was sitting beside me tapping his foot with a big smile on his face. He loved Willie Nelson's "On the road again" it always brought trucking memories of his lifetime on the road. At the end of the service, listening to Tom Jones with "Green Green Grass of Home" it always reminded him of his parents and his boyhood living in the Pilliga Scrub. How happy I was to hear these songs again... just for him.
Shaun, I thank you so much for making that day so beautiful. I miss Terry and always will, we had nearly 70 years together, a lifetime of love and quarrels and I would do it all over again. You have given me peace and contentment knowing Terry was well looked after, treated with care, love and respect, for this I truly thank you.
I had been meaning to write to you earlier than this, firstly allowing me the extra day while my finances came to maturity for your payment, that helped me no end. Second, for the service you provided was well below the cost that I thought would be much higher. Thirdly, you were my prince in shining armour coming at a time when I was floundering. Thank you.
I have arranged with Jodi (you met her, my daughter, carer) to engage your services for my funeral, knowing I will be well looked after. It won't be as big as Terry's (I'm shy), but unfortunately it will involve Kemps Creek, which means a few extra night's stay at Tamworth. So until that time, I send you my regards for a successful career, health and happiness I wish you.
Sincerely,
Fay D. Redman
